I’m turning 30 this year.
On one hand, I know that this is just another year. On the other hand, this seems like a really big deal.
I’ve never been one of those people who thinks “I have to do X by this age.” To me, age is just a number and if something is really important in my life, then I know that I’ll get to it when the time is right. (hopefully)
However, what the big 3-0 signifies to me is that time is going by… and it seems to be speeding up with each passing year.
With that being said, I’m really focusing on living more in the present moment. Slowing down… noticing when things are really good in my life… and practicing gratitude.
I’m thinking of putting together an official list of “30 things to do before 30” (if you have suggestions, please tell me in the comments below!) but until then, I’m just going to focus on drinking more fresh juice.
This celery mint cleanser juice s a really simple juice combo that I happen to love. It essentially boils down to this formula: juice base + greens + herbs = amazing.
The juice base is what gives the liquid (aka base) to your juice. It is typically something along the lines of celery, cucumber, carrots, or fruit. I like celery because it’s alkalizing and much less expensive than cucumber. Greens can be any dark leafy green of your choice. I happened to have celery on hand, but I also love kale, chard, and collard greens.
Then it comes down to personal preference. Some people don’t like herbs in their juice. I personally do. I find that a little mint, cilantro, or basil can really liven up a simple juice combo and elevate it beyond the typical hippie green drink in a mason jar. Just sayin.
What is your favorite juice combo?
